毎年少しずつではありますが、確実に英語教育は変わりつつあります。昨年度の高校入試ではＡ・Ｂ・Ｃ問題に分かれ、Ｃ問題（文理学科等）には従来の自由英作文が問題文も英語で、内容も「人を第一印象で決めることの賛否」を述べるというものでした。
今年度はさらにリスニング問題が大幅に変わることが予想されます。大阪府は入試（筆記・リスニング）のサンプル問題や大阪版単語集を作成したり、全国学力テストは2019年より3年ごとに理科に加えて英語も実施、スピーキング(会話)も導入されるとのことです。
今後さらに子供たちは、多くの長文を読む力、自分の意見や考えを書く力、自己を表現して話す力、ナチュラルスピードの長文を聞き取る力が必要となってきます。
自分の考えを話したり書いたりする一例として、「携帯電話の良い点、悪い点」というテーマで英文例を載せておきます。

I think we can use the mobile phones anywhere and anytime. Around the 1960s, when we were children, we only had telephones at home or public phones in our city. They were called kotei-denwa. They mean fixed telephones.
Now we can talk with my family and friends easily and immediately on the mobile phones. We can also use them as a computer, a camera or games. But nowadays we spend much more time using them. As a result we can hardly write and remember kanji because we can see it at once. Our eyes are also getting worse because we have much time to use them.
The mobile phones are very convenient but we must be careful how we use them.
